Engines with the worst sounding exhaust ever?
I don't know I like most of those exhaust. I think the most annoying exhaust is the Lotus Exige and its puny Toyota engine; however I only hate it because the car looks so damn good but sounds so bad!
I actually like the way civics sound when they're roaring their vtec, especially the fast boosted ones. I just like all cars in general, I came in my pants when I heard a 458 italia with exhaust, it's ok though luckily I wasn't free-balling that day.

I think most inline 4's sound like dog **** including my own. Just not a fan
Then to say that Suby, Cobra, Audi, and GTR don't sound good makes no sense to me.
To each their own

Wow, everyone has their own opinion but I'm used to Ford small blocks being on people's best sounding list, not worst sounding. That one surprised me. Personally I like Subarus as well but I've heard plenty of people say they don't. Now the Nissan V6 I can agree with. Some people like them but every time I hear one mooooing away from me I just don't understand it.
I will throw out the Viper exhaust note. Those cars sound like a UPS truck with a bad tune. Just horrible.

FD3S Rotary takes the cake:

It literally sounds like farting noises.

Coming out of left field (actually right field for those that know me),
My favorite import notes are the Mark IV Supra (with a reasonable sized single conversion) way out in front, and Subaru Boxer engines if not too freakin' loud. The latter I actually like in the the lower db exhausts out there.
Least favorite, the rotary way, way, way, WAY out front, then just about any V6 with an aftermarket exhaust, followed by most inline fours... less the two wheeled very high revving variety. Love my Evo, but don't know that I've ever heard one that was music to my ears (well, the sound of power is
), and I've heard a ton of them. Some just sound less worse than others to me.
Hey, some like 'em big, some like 'em thin... I like 'em LEAN

I dont think subys or nissans sound too bad, but yeah most civics with exhausts sound pretty horrible.
I'd agree that most straight fours don't sound great, but I'm in love with the sound of my car with the Greddy Ti catback.
