Engines with the worst sounding exhaust ever?

This is highly subjective, but I am going to list my top 3. If you have a few you hate, post 'em up!

3. Subaru EJ- Some people like the "boxer rumble". I had an exhaust on my WRX, and it made it sound like a Harley. Another friend said they sound like angry pigs. I totally agree. Inlines sound symphonic to me. Boxers just say "butt-butt-butt-butt-butt-butt".

2. Nissan VQ- OK, the Subaru was more of an annoyance. These last two, I just flat out despise the way they sound. 350Z/370Z/G35/G37/and the 50+ other SUVs Nissan platform shares this engine with. The VQ kind of sounds like a straight piped early 90s Chevy Beretta. Or a wookie in heat. Or gargling syrup. V6s sound terrible.

1. Ford 4.6- Living in Tennessee and being subjected to so many of these, it takes the hate cake. NOTHING is worse than a Ford 4.6. It sounds like a wet fart. Like you were cheering your guts out at a NASTRUCK race and accidentally swallowed your dip. Before you label me as unamerican, some V8s sound great. The older Chevy LT-1 wasn't a giant performer, but they sound really nice. The Ford 4.6 is the opposite.

I'm totally with you on the 'stang and the Nissan. The subbie I'm 1/2 and 1/2 on. Not a fan of the boxer engine but that one sounds almost pleasant compared to others that I've heard.

I think the 350z's sound awesome, and well exhaust changes the way mustangs sound greatly so thats subjective.. a built turbo 5.4 4v sounds pretty good to me also... as found in some drag cars and turbo Ford GT's.. a 4v 4.6 can sound very similar also..

My least favorite sounding car that is considered by many to sound good is the e46 bmw m3.. I love the car, hate the raspy no ***** sound they produce..

IDK, fast cars are fun cars, loud is cool IMHO It's not always 'for me' but I like a big engine roar here and there.

I actually love the way a v6 sounds, esp a turbo'd one, I think that's hawt!

The boxer scooby's...idk I kinda go back and forth on them, but for the most part they sound like they're running on 3 cyls, just wonky. Fun cars tho :P

It's not so much the engine that sounds bad, just how the exhaust note, and the vehicle dont match when it comes to S10's with exhaust. I always get a WTF look on my face

I am not a fan of how most civics sound with aftermarket exhaust systems. The ones that bug me are the really loud ones that are really slow, and feel the need to downshift every gear to where the rpms are way reved up on the slow down.

THIS!!!!! I was just gonna post that. I'd find a video but I don't want my ears to bleed from the horrid sound.
