Need car max 8k what are my options

Sold evo 9 last year
Bought BMW 328I
Getting out of Army in 2 months and job waiting.
I'm driving too much so I decide to get second car.
Need something fun to drive with decent mpg.

Honda 2000
Cooper
Civic
Corrolla
Scion tc
what else?

Think I can find evo for around 8k

Go for the s2k if you can get one for 8k. They're priced similarly to VIIs and VIIIs here. And at least it's not fwd.

A clean 2gb DSM Fwd for the mpg factor, an unmolested one will run forever, you'll have money leftover and you can get a gay for the 4g63

But hell if you find an s2000 for 8k I'd do that. Since it's Honda if it wasn't beaten to a pulp whatever mileage it'll have won't matter. Or get a miata

It'll be a stretch finding a S2K for $8K. I'd recommend staying away from the 00-01 because of the rear plastic window (unless it's been replaced with a new top and glass - common upgrade).

All of the S2K's had problems with the tops tearing, and if you find one for $8K, more than likely it's going to this issue. You are looking at around $1200-$1500 to replace the top yourself, or close to $3K for professional installation and a quality replacement top.

If you can find a steal, go for it. I love my '02.

It's possible to get a WRX for 8k, but they are sub 30mpg on the highway cars. If you are looking for better mileage, i would go with a civic.

The S2K won't get you anywhere near 30mpg, either.

I average 21-23mpg in mine. :P Highway it gets a little better at 28-29mpg.

My bimmer is giving me around 15mpg city/post drive
I was going to find s2k with savage title for around 8k.
I'll def grab evo if I can find one for this price(even salvage title ones)

non-s cooper would do the trick for you. you might even find a high mile s for that money and wouldn't be too off on the mpg.
