What to go over?

Hi guys,

I'm curious if I need to change the timing belt on an Evo 9 I'm thinking about buying. Its an 06 Evo IX with about 30k original miles with bolt ons and a tune. I would assume since its 10 years old now that I would need to do it, but I just want to get some inputs first.. And what else would probably need to be replaced (or gone over before I start drive it) due to age?

Thanks in advance!

There's a sticky on this, but all fluids and belts plus water pump is a good start. Sure you don't have to change the belt but for peace of mind I would without a doubt!!

I would change the timing belt at minimum of every 5 years, or 60k miles.

I suggest doing all the maintenance listed in the manual for 5 years or 60K miles.
