i've had my evo for about 2 months... finally broke it in with over 2K miles. And today was my first official drag. Well i had a full car (4 peeps) coming home from a movie, a 350z zooms by me. We finally meet at a red light and we both nodded at each other smiling.... I swear to God i've never been so hyped in my life!!! My left foot was shaking like **** on the clutch, and finally it turns green and up till about the middle of the intersection we were even, and i took off!! i was about about 2 - 3 car lengths all the way till around 80mph.... WHAT A RUSH!!!!!! i had to bust a quick rightso i gave him a thumbs up outta the window and took off!

 

Seems like either the 350z is a bad driver or your pretty shiftin and launchin your car...i wouldn't recommend streetracing but gj on the kill!

 

yah i could tell he had a slow start.... no way i could've pulled 3 cars on him with an extra 650lbs + in my car... I actually had a decent start... didn't spin at all, just took off like a roller coaster

 

all that weight is no friend to your clutch... i wouldnt recomend launching with the extra weight

 

the clutch will go but not for a lonnnnnnnng time..... transfer case should be the problem with that weight and launch.....

by the way.....I WAS IN THE CAR......... Paul destroyed the 350Z too easy...... i was drunk but we had a major lead on him and i was stoked....
