if u beat an AWD car with launch control to 60', that tells me he wasnt racing u, nor was he even racing the clock, cause a 12.1 for a GTR is sub-par. so dont celebrate "beating him" just yet.

that being said, yes its not easy with so much torque and rwd, and its gonna take quiet a few tries to get that launch right. so good luck. the V has got a lot of potential, its reaching it thats difficult.

 

I always love the bench racers and the GTR fan boys.Yeah, Im sure he wasnt racing lol.. We were at the track and he had his helmet on. Pretty sure he set out to race. He got beat plain and simple. lol... Could be whatever, he got beat. And no its NOT difficult to reach the V's potential. Its quite easy. I didnt celebrate anything. I said I ran the V and I beat a GTR which I did. And I clearly stated I beat the driver. I beat his reaction time by .5. He was sleeping at the light. So go climb in another thread and rant and rave how great that ugly azz car is... My time was sub par too. Ive seen stock V's run 11's. So whats your point. It didnt happen on this night. It was hot out and the track prep was horrible. It was what is was on that night. Not celebrating or making excuses. Not sure how you could even celebrate a 12 second pass lol. I could care less how fast it is or the GTR. Just looking at the MPH so I can guage whp now vs later once modded. I actually go to the track and race my cars and dont bench race...

You obviously dont know me very well One thing Im not is a fanboi. Ive had Audi RS4's, Gallardo's, C63's, Camaro's, Mustang's, and everything else. Not really sure how you can insuate I'm a fanboi when I've owned just about every brand of vehicle made. But whatever man... I guess it was your poor attempt to start a debate here. Thanks. Yeah, Im happy with the run. It felt horribly slow so I was surprised when I saw the slip. I guess the power is so smooth and its very quiet so it doesnt give that rush feeling. The new PBIR track is very smooth so it does take away sligtly from the runs. The GTR was def racing of course. Both cars are capable of faster times under ideal conditions obviously. I didnt even launch the car hard. I was sure I was going to blaze the tires if I did. Im use to my C63 so I took it easy on the launch. I was really only interested in the MPH anyways and dont want to break it at 1700 miles lol. Im quite over the 1/4 mile game. One thing Ive learned is its all about the wallet and there is always someone with deeper pockets and a faster car I went to watch the drift event but have a hard time driving by the 1/4 mile lol. Of course my curiousity got me and figured it be fun to run it one time. Ive got a decent baseline and now it will be fun to set it up for road course and Im sure at some point once all the mods are done I'll run it again. On a side note, I saw some crazy race cars out there and was surprised they were only running 10's or so. Made me miss the evo badly

 

haha, Im glad someone else agrees with me on the GTR bandwagon. WTF is so damn great??? I personally would rather have a few cars with the 60-80k I would pick up a GTR for. F**k that car!

Only thing a GTR brings, is its "baller" status you get with it. If your into that, the car is made for you. I for one dont get a hard on by looking at one.

 

Lol, I know right? Far better cars in that price range. I just think its super ugly. There is no doubt it performs very well and handles mods well. Other than that there is nothing I like about the car. I will admit the numbers are impressive and I even went to look at them as i considered buying one. But after seeing it up close and personal I was like no way. I want to love it, but just don't lol.

 

i think id take the v over the gtr too. with traction you had 11's all day. cant wait to see what it does modded

 

my buddy's 09 auto went 12.2@118 bone stock. it was the auto and it was about 40* out in upstate NY.
