Maybe oil pump failure or debris from bearings, rings, or other materials coming apart clogging the pump and/or oil passages. We can certainly speculate, but you won't know for sure, until the motor has been disassembled.

No she is not apparently Chevy just pulled the pan off and told her bottom end was seized and that was all they did so no we are waiting on her to make a decision as to what she wants to do now.
