There will be a 600 horsepower plus vette, it's codename is Blue Devil. It will be a either a supercharged or twin turbo 427 small block, they (autoweek) said it should be out as a 2005 model. It makes sense that they would do this, as they did it with the zr1 in the early 90's. To take on everyone else.
Also at my local barnes and noble there is an australian magazine that states that the zo6 will have a 6.3 liter more that holden is looking at to use in an awd version of the manaro. All you would have to do is take a simple look at any major car publication and you will see somthing on the blue devil. I even think it has been discussed on this bored

If Chevy can wring 500 HP from a normally aspirated 364, why would they need twin turbos to get 600 out of a 427?

I don't know about the 427 part... A TT setup on the 364 I could see (maybe), but a TT 427 is kind of overkill I would think. I would think they would go with a NA 427, a NA 3xx, or a TT 364 for 600 hp.

In a most unfortunate and untimley accident, Mr. Lingenfleter passed away. I believe from an accident.

It actually wasn't the accident that got him. He did suffered some injuries drag racing; but, the doctor put him on some kind of medication that he had an adverse (major) reaction to. Put him in a coma and then...well, you know...
