You are misinterpreting the dynamics of internet forums. There simply is not another venue in which adolescents are able to express their ideas (automotive related) in such a free manner (i.e. without thinking about it). As you become older, you understand why all of these ideas (that you had when you were 16 or 17 or 18) were retarded. Therefore, expressing them in the presence of those who know better will elicit a negative reaction. This happens in person, as well. People know who I am. People know who Smike is. There is no magic smoke-screen of anonymity. I am like this in person.

Some kid came up to me at a car meet months ago and informed me that the STi parked next to me was "twin-turbo". He confused the Twin-Horns with wastegates (or something). He got laughed at. Everyone thought that that was hilarious. This is similar. Those of us who know better (and truly understand what this kid is proposing) balk at the idea of some 18 y/o kid having the presence of mind and patience to pull something like this off. If he proves us wrong, so be it. Until then, he is just some moron online.

Your a kid as long as you keep taking Mommy and Daddy's money to pay for your car hobby. Seems like it in this case.

I wish my parents were super rich and I could play with the idea of buying/importing a skyline to the states. If your parents were in such a position would you reject their resources?- I don't want a skyline let me take that Kia Soul .
