What's next from Japan? GT-R 32

With the craze of comact super cars like the Evo and Sti, and maybe the 350Z although a little different. Do you think Nissan will unleash a US version of the GT-R 32 or otherwise known as a Skyline. I saw one on I-5 here in Seattle it is menacing right hand driver though.

They are supposedly releasing the GTR in America for 2004-2005. There is already on version of it under Infinity the G35 or the GTR-35. The concept model of the GTR looks cool it comes stock with about 300+ hp and if I can find the pics I'll post them.

Since the R32 GT-R has been out of production for 10 years... I doubt it

I believe it's due out here in 2004-2005 with 300hp. Not sure if it's turbo or not...it's undoubtedly powered by the 3.5L VQ engine Nissan has in its other performance cars. I hope its turbo...it won't be a GTR if it wasn't.

Just so you know the SKYLINE R-brand split from the GTR label. Currently NA has the "Skyline" in the Infiniti G35 (Nissan Skyline V35 in Japan). I don't think the car does the name justice....kinda like how the new Fairlady isn't what I'd expect from a true successor to the 300zx.

The R35 concepts I've seen all revolve around a N/A VQ35. This probably means 300-320 HP at the most, which isn't very good considering the 350Z has 287 and will be $10-15k less.

The R34 will probably be the last of the "true" GT-Rs.

I concur.......once they seperated the GTR name from the Skyline R name they effectively destoryed the car.

And as for whats next from Japan, my wish would be the S15 Silvia.....I love them!!!!!

I think the key was the RB26DETT personally. One of my favorite engines of all time. The inline to V transition was not welcome imo.
