as far as i can see, there really wasn't a market until now, especially after such "high" exposure as 2fast 2furious. but seriously, if it did come over, it would most likely carry an infiniti badge. would you pay 60 g's for a nissan? nissan has to think about selling cars for everyone, not just enthusiasts.

if it wore an infiniti badge and had a bit more luxury then it used too, then people would be willing to buy a 60g "nissan". not to mention some people have enough problems with making payments on their 30g evo's.

hey personaly they could throw an 4 banger on it, and id still buy it. I would honestly like to see a V4 option avaiable for all of us that arent millionaires. A 20k price tag would be awesome, but who knows

Yes, I have read that they will be bringing the Skyline to the USA. They are debating on whether or not to sell it under the Infiniti moniker. That's probably because they feel that we Americans would not feel so bad dropping big money on an Infiniti rather than on a Nissan. Kind of like Honda sells the NSX as an Acura.

I have also read that it should come over to the states with a 400hp V8, and AWD and sold as a 2005 model. Let's all hope that this car comes over complete with all the fixings and that the power isn't watered down too much. I say that if the J-spec car produces 420 hp, our car should make at least 400hp.

As a side note, my personal favorite is the R32 because of it's simplicity.

ye i saw plenty of skylines at HIN last nite, but they are hella expensive. Most of the money goes to converting it to legalize it and shipping it over. I've also heard that the G35 is the new skyline and about driving right hand drive, it's easy, any person who can drive stick can learn it pritty well in less than 10 minutes

i love the skyline....its my dream machine...the R34...

i read in IMPORT TUNER once that the car in japan is worth only 40Gs, thats about how much the japanese tuners would buy it for. however, they said that importing it can be well up to 10Gs.

the base model for the new GTR is already here. its the infiniti G35, sedan and coupe. basically, to go with the previous models designations, the infiniti G35 is the GT-S coupe and the Skyline sedan.

There's always been skylinesbut then there were GTR's too. A skyline is like the Infiniti sedan that people are seeing or talking about whatever. The "real" Skyline that everyone wants to see is the V35 ( i think) due in like 2005 or 06. That is the one with the GT-R performance or whatever you would call it, a "real" skyline.

The only change is that your left hand is shifting instead of the right... the gear patterns and pedal locations are basically the same.

from what i've gathered, the V35 is the current USDM infiniti G35 coupe and sedan. the new R35 is the new GT-R. nissan seperated the Skyline and GT-R names for future iterations. and from what i've seen, the confirmed version is very similar to the GT-R concept they debuted at the tokyo auto show in 2002. i know absolutely nothing about potential powerplants, though.

actually the car was never brought over becasue of the turbos. the exhaust would interfere to much with the rack and pinnion and would not allow the steering column to be placed on the left hand side. re-enginerring would have cost way to much to make it worth while. and yes it will come over as a NISSAN. and if i remember correctly it will come over in 2005 as a 2006 model.

Reading the posts about right hand drive cars is rather funny for me, that is the majority of cars here. We have to put up with left hand drive gaming machines in those game places (what are they called?).
