Needing a new daily driver, what would you recommend or have??

Just wondering what you guys would recommend or have out there? I have come to the conclusion that my car is starting to get tons of gas usage, and miles piled on it from traveling back and forth to work(they send me off-site almost daily) and i am about to start school at nights....any info or recommendations?? Id rather put the wear and tear/miles on something different, maybe something cheap and dependable like an EG/EJ body civic or something.heh ????

if you wanna save gas you can always go hybrid! or if you still want somewhat power for reasonable price you can get a sonata or something

i dunno what your situation is, but owning a house, i wish i had a pickup truck for all the crap stuff i have to do. Right now i have a 1984 Rabbit that gets the workload done, but a truck would be really nice. Something like a Toyota tacoma 5 spd 4x4...
