Have you guys seen the Pontiac Grand (whatever) commercial yet? It has the base Lancer driving around, debadged of course. Then it says something like "Why would you want to be caught driving something like this?" Then it goes on to talking about the Pontiac. A $22,3xx base priced vehicle.
Personally I don't think it's a fair comparison. What's the base price of a Lancer?

 

yea that commercial was dirty....plus a really bad comparison

 

They should do a commercial with the aztek and a really ugly girl. Show both of them. Say "which would you rather be in?" Then the next shot would be the ugly girl with a bag over her head... and then it should say something like ... you probably only have to wake up this once or you'll have an easier time explaining this to your friends or at least you can blame this one on alcohol.

 

Yeah, that commercial pissed me off. That's totally not a fair comparison, of course ,they wouldn't put the EVO in comparison, so they got our lancer. I know i'd rather drive ANY mitsubishi than a pontiac any day!

i used to drive a pontiac... 95 grandam with 3.1 v6, with 155h and 180 ft lbs torque...it'd whoop my lancer lol

 

I drive a 94 grand am (not by choice)... soon to purchase to an evo. I think it might be a slight upgrade

 

Have you guys seen the new Mitsubishi Galant commercial? The guy pulls up next to a Sunfire & the chick checks him out.

 

A more reasonable comparison would be the Grand X & the Galant. Galant base price being $18,000.

 

Maybe Mitsu and Pontiac are having a war over who can build the car with the ugliest central pillar on the nose.

 

Doesn't the voice of that guy in the commercial sound like Samuel L. Jackson or is it just me....?
