Almost traded my EVO!
That is the direction i'm going as well. I guess you could say my gut feeling is saying don't do it. With the economy in the crapper, even though the car payment is really low, i'm still putting myself in 20k$ in debt instead of having 12-14K$ in equity in the car.

I thought about trading my Evo on a 1970 Mach 1, 351C 4 speed.
Then I got a grip on myself. Still, that old'Stang was a clean straight car.

Personally, I would keep the Evo. It's paid off and all that money you've been paying towards it is finally over with. I just wouldn't want to get into another payment plan like that.
Just like what someone else said, get a nice daily. Something cheap like a Corolla or Civic or even a Subaru 2.0i. When you start driving something else around then hop in the Evo, you'll start to appreciate the Evo more. I still remember when I bought my beater car. A 95 Corolla 3-speed auto. Daily that car to work and back every single day. Then on the weekends, I hop in the Evo and just kept thinking to myself "I wanted to sell this car before? I must be out of my mind".
But of course, choice is yours. If you really like the new WRX's (and I have to admit, I love them too), go for it.

simple bolt on mods and a tune that reverts back to stock if a regional rep. needs to look at it bolt back on the stock parts and retune to stock ECU mapping with AccessPORT.
