Looking for 4k-6k fast car

I have a 02 lancer oz rally and am looking for something with more power and is a 5 speed a turbo is preferred but I do like m3's. Cars I been looking at are 180sx,wrx,2g dsm's talon/eclipse. I can extend my budget to a max of 8k if the car is nice.
perfure AWD OR FWD due to harsh winters but I love RWD. Going for a JDM look

well to stay with mitsu, the fastest thing for your money will probably be a 1g or 2g. if you wanna go for something different id say buy a ls1 camaro/trans am, power per dollar on those cars are insane.

A few different options that you may not have considered. None are AWD but all can be had in an I4 turbo and are all RWD.

- SVO Mustang - they're becoming collectible/more expensive but affordable ones can still be found
- Starion/Conquest widebody
- Porsche 944
- 280z or 280zx (I6)

I am pretty sure it would cost a lot to get a 180sx as they never released in America. Unless you convert a 240 to look like on. For that price I would get a Gsx/tsi or even a gallant vr4.

here you go. It needs a little work, but with your budget I think it's perfect.

Suggested the 240 and MR2 due to reliability. Old 4Gs scare me.

Oh god I want an SVO. I found one in my area on Craiglist with a hideous bodykit. If only I could find one in stock condition near me.

Also to answer OP, have you thought about turbo Volvo's? I've been looking at 850 T5 wagons. FWD and only come in auto here in the US but they seem reliable and responsive to mods.

There was an 02 RSX turbo a small dealer near Raleigh recently for like $4500. Seemed like a good deal to me.

Have you considered rwd with snow tires to open up your options a bit?

I also don't think it was listed but you could get an srt-4 or a mini in your price range too, both should be quite a bit more fun. Like the others listed will probably be higher mileage but not many 4-6k cars arent

Edit missed the "going for a jdm look part" so these wouldn't necessarily fit your criteria
