So I just bought a g35 less than a year ago and went all out on modding it, however, ive always been a huge fan of evos and after being in my friends evo today and actually seeing a clean one in person, it really makes me want to part out of my mods and sell my G to get a evo8, what do you guys think? I understand most people will be bias since this is a evo forum but could someone give me some truth on what they would do?

Heres a couple of pics of my g coupe so you guys get an idea where im coming from.. (im pushing 284 hp rn with all bolt ons and uprev tune)

I would like to start off by saying that is one beautiful looking G. I personally own an evo 8 and love it, she is roughly about 400hp. I have driven a lightly modified G-35 and it just doesn't compare performance wise to an all wheel drive turbo car. Granted they are way more comfortable. If your willing to give up comfort for performance, then you can't go wrong by getting an evo. If you prefer comfort then i would definitely stay with the G-35. It's insane how well evos perform with just slight modifications. Hope this helps a little.

What are you looking to do? I've driven the g35 and g37 and they are slow as he'll even fully bolted. Without forced induction the Evo is a completely different animal.

I own both an evo 9 and a g35 6mt coupe and the evo is so much better in many ways. Like said before g35 just more comfortable on long trips. At one point i had a single turbo kit in the g35 makin as much power as my evo on the dyno but it still felt slow as hell compared to the evo. So i parted it out put back to stock and just daily the g35

Thanks for the reply guys! I think I'm going to do it I'm just so tempted after ridin in my friends Evo haha, he's full stock but I beat him in a 50 roll like 3x yesterdy lol, however it's not a mr. And idk why people say the g coupe is sexier than the Evo... IMO Evo 8s is one of the sexiest looking cars to me, maybe it really is a guy magnet LOL.
Edit: what's a reasonable price for a evo8? I'm just scared of running into problems with it since I know almost everyone with a Evo pushes it a lot haha

^ only differance is the 6spd vs 5spd. The evo will be fine as long as you keep the maintenance up to date. don't ever go cheap with it. let us now when you get it. you will not loom back, i promise.

the G35 is a nicer car than the Evo 8 as far as interior and ride, but it's no Lexus anways

as far as performance goes, g35 is a turd.
