Should I get back into an Evo X?

Had a 2011 Evo X with a built 2.0 and ETS 6266 kit which made 569whp on 93. I sold the X and got a AP1 S2000, of course started modifying it right off the bat. The S is at 740whp with all supporting mods but on a stock unopened bottom end. It's been at those levels for over a year and a 1/2 and the engine is still strong at 102k miles (amazing Engines). It's a ridiculously fun car but thinking of coming back to the Evo community.

What do you guys think?

Big power in the X i would imagine would feel more stable compared to the S2k. 740whp in a little car like that sound like a riot, but almost is too much for what the car is known to shine at doing. 700+ hp evo's can both be quick in a straight line and around a corner

Yeah 700+WHP in AWD is much more forgiving then a lightweight RWD car. I miss so much about the X and one of the main things is being able to punch it in almost any gear and just go, not so much in the S. If I got an X I would get rid of the s2k and make the evo my fun project car.

Its personal preference. I have very much enjoyed my X. And plan on keeping it.

Honda built the engine with all forged internals. That's why you see some turbo's s2000's pushing crazy numbers.

personally, I'd go for an evo 8 or 9 if you wanted to get back into an evo... but thats just me. its lighter, so it'll be faster for given amount of power... and I think (don't know for sure) its cheaper to make that kinda power on an 8 or 9 vs a X

Have you thought of trading the S2k for a evo?

Must be low torque and 9000 RPM's reving. How does such high compression get that power under boost unless Meth or E85 or race gas?

Torque was in the 540 range so wasn't too bad. Car was on E85.

Well I pulled all the part off to put it back to stock. Part all sold, so just going to get the car back to stock and sell that.

I guess there's no turning back. If you have that kind of cash why not a GTR?

Because a stock GTR wouldn't make me happy. By the time your done modifying a GTR you've spent 100k +, That's not happening. I want more of a project car.
