Was on my lunch break just before and there was an old man driving a Evo 10.

Has been a staple part of a boy racers diet since the early 90s here. Definitely up there with all the Skylines and WRXs
the US only got the CT9A for four years, so we see a lot less. i do see quite a few Xs, though.

thanks to Ken Block, X-games, etc. i'd assume. Subaru does a better job of getting their name and product out there.
when is the last time you saw an Evo commercial?

and they wonder why it failed.

When I was only an 8-year-old, my parents and their co-workers took me to a large local bowling alley, and that place was bombarded by Subaru advertisements as they just won the World Rally Championship.

As the result, everyone in the alley was talking about Subaru's. My dad was like, "son, when you get your licence, you should drive an Impreza WRX!" A co-worker said, "is that street legal?" Then a staff of the alley chimed in and told us that the Impreza WRC was not street legal, but you could get the street legal WRX. So my dad was in all smiles and like, "see, you are gonna get a WRX!" Then, me, the little kid, said "nah, I don't want that dirty, ugly car. I just want a BMW."

That made me ever want to punch myself as a kid.

This. I don't think I've ever even seen a single Mitsubishi commercial that wasn't from a dealership. It's like they don't want to sell cars.

In my area Evos are not common at least the 8s and 9s aren't. I have had people stop me in traffic to ask about it and I have been on short trips where people would be tripping over themselves to see it. Last week I had saw a guy taking pictures of it while I was in the store, when I came out I told him that I would open it up for him to look at. I don't think that he touched the ground for a while after that. He shook my hand twice thanking me for helping make part of his dream come true after letting him sit in it.

There are almost no tuner or sports cars in my area. I live in a more rural area where everyone owns pickups and SUV's. A friend of mine owns a 370z and everyone thinks it's amazing. I know if I come home with an Evo they'll think I'm retarded until I show them what it's capable of.

I love it when people think its just a "meh" ride... slow and boring.

Haha changes VERY fast when you take corners fast and doing WOT pulls from 1-4th gear.

To me... I enjoy it when people don't know what an Evo is. I simply say... one of the best import car ever mad. Then I let em in for a ride =P
