price

all the dealers in cali are hyping up the price by $25,000 over msrp. Where can you get one at close to msrp?

Found out that a friend of the family had a '16 so I took a second to take a quick pic next to it.

The asking price for the R models seems to be north of $100k. Non-R models, I've seen enough floating around for sale that there shouldn't be a huge markup, if any.

As for why anyone would pay $130k for a Mustang, I have no clue. I love the GT350 and think it's an awesome car... at list price. $130k can buy you a real race car, and a truck and trailer to haul it around. Or a Viper.

price

Yes, even for the regular GT350 all the dealers are marking the price up about $25k over msrp. I need the back seat so I prefer the regular GT350 and not the GT350R. Also, I noticed that most of them come with that stripe down the middle. I would rather have a plain one without the stripe.

Go on Autotrader and search for GT350s. There are over 600 for sale. If you sort by lowest price, you'll find numerous examples at or below MSRP. You may have to fly somewhere to get it, but if you really want one, spending a few hundred dollars on a plane ticket or two and doing a road trip (maybe with a friend) sounds way better than handing Ken Grody $50k over MSRP.

car

Best part of the car is that it comes with those lightweight carbon fiber wheels. Dunno why they only put it on the 350R and not the regular 350. So either get the 350R with no backseat with the wheels or regular 350 with backseat without the wheels.

Cause they're expensive as hell... But I think the new model year gets the carbon wheels on all models, or is that the magnetic shocks? I forget exactly what, but the newer one closes the gap between the R and the regular GT350

Newer model is supposed to get the heavy duty springs and aluminum brace as standard. Air conditioning is offered in the GT350R also. I got an email from a dealer this morning, best we can offer is $15,00 over sticker, forget that..

They seem to have a bunch and always show up first when I search. Wasn't sure which CA you were in (north/south), but if you're in SoCal I'm guessing you'd have come across their $135k Rs.

Basically the track package is gone for the non-R models, with the magneride shocks and heavy duty cooling standard on all models now. Packages are a little more coherent, and there are some color changes (orange no longer available but two new blues and a really pretty maroon ).
