How do you respond to "Why?"
Why does everyone feel the need to justify themselves and their purchase to someone else?
I had 5 criteria when I was looking for a new car (by the way, this is for a car that I was purchasing with MY own money that I was going to drive on a daily basis) -
Had to be AWD, had to be manual, had to be turbocharged, had to have less than 50k miles and had to be under $25,000.
Find me a better vehicle. And please don't say STI.

But seriously, I have a friend who is wealthy and he ALWAYS buys and drives used Ford Explorers. He usually pays around 5000-10,000 for them and drives them into the ground then buys another. He always gives me a hard time about buying a performance car. Something about ego or rather.
He finds more value in putting money into a home. Who am I to argue? Hes f**king rich, right. I'm certainly NOT rich. In cash anyway.
But, now he has an expensive house in Hawaii that he cant sell (to his liking) and needs to move back to the mainland because of his wife's health issues.
And me? I can hop in my paid for Evo and drive just about anywhere in the USA whenever the hell I want......
