Even if the little torquemonster put 200/230 TO the GROUND your butt dyno has to be cut off to think its almost as fast as an EVO yours puts down 238 stock if you cant feel 40HP geezus. And the current GTi is 1.8 t and not a 2.0t and I dont even love them

none. I race all the time. and i can lunch my car extremly fast no questions asked. Just get it this way i had never had someone pull on me with my evo from a stop except a tolan with 350 whp 91 and my brother GTI. Front wheel drive with alot of tq and a good drive can almost smoke anything 0 to 30 miles. they have K03 turbo which spools up at 1500 RPM.
will they have the GTI 1.8T with 180 hp and the VR6 2.8 200hp. they are both fast but i would take the 1.8T any day over the VR6. The engine has so many parts out there you wont even believe me. The engine is bullet profe could handle about 25 psi no problems. If you buy APR turbo kit for around $4000 you will be running high 12 on a stock car. www.goapr.com. they have one bad thing though, they have bad bad suspension stock and wheels that need to be replaced from day one.

4WD is what makes an Evo a fast car at launch. After that the GTI should get better because of less drivetrain losses and overhead.
Your statement just doesn't make any sence unless his car is heavily modded that even with the wheelspin he can beat you.
1.8T stock are not too fast at all.

Obviously if you buy an APR kit you are NOT running a stock car anymore

I did not say he has APR kit. Please don’t tell me what happened we were their, not you .their is no reason to lie. he has APR chip exhaust downpipe and intake and on top all that a front mount cooler. all this cost him about $2500 to $3000 so i guess it mid modified. but still GTI's are fast cars go and drive one. On the four door subject I don’t like the 4 door one i only like the 2 doors
Please....GTI 1.8T with that much mods can take on an evo that easily? Well, maybe if you're stock. I raced several modded GTI when I only have a catback and intake and still pull on them like it's no tomorrow. Now...hahhaha, they'll be lucky to see my tail lights. And yes, I raced a GTI from a roll, thank you...and several times from a stop. I think they are quick car, but 1.8 and with a small *** turbo is not going to pull it. THe new R32 is just slow. I saw it in person last week at a car meet, and it's one nice *** car. I usually dont like the front end of any VW, but the R32 looks pretty mean. Still that nasty front head lights gotta go. The concept front end looks cool. Also, the VW R32 is freakin big!!! That thing like like an SUV almost. 36,000 pounds? Dang, that's alittle too heavy dont you guys think? Everything feel heavy and the interior is pretty pimp. THe door feels like it's 40 pounds, but when I touch it, it gives me a feeling of quality and safety. Afterall, nice car and I dont mind a hatch.
