I've definitely felt torque steer in my evo, and the evo 8/9's I've driven...

that would suck for any car, especially one that you had to fly out of state for, really hope the insurance totals the car and doesn't try to make him fix it.

that last line cracks me up though, always hear something like this from people that never bought a salvage auction before

In the meantime—am I the only one who suddenly feels like they could soon be in the market for a cheap salvage race car?
this isn't gonna be cheap... I can guarantee it will sell for 20k min at auction

Not to mention expensive to rebuild. Plus, probably not the best option out there, for a race car, at this time.

I've had torque steer and power understeer in my old evo, which did not have a lot of the fixes I've made to my current one

I would sue to have the car replaced. "Find me another one and ship it to my front door." A car with 151 miles on it doesn't belong in a body shop. Nothing ever gets fixed right.

Reminds me of the photograph of the Ford GT that hit a lamp post on the way to the street for the first time.

My local dealership called me, today. The saleswoman told me the CTR is marked up $15k.
I LOLed and hung up on her.

Here's a Craigslist guy going for the quick kill.

there was one at the track day I went to yesterday, I got a look up close, its a lot bigger than I thought... and really wide... and front brakes are proper huge, think GT-R size brakes. and tires are very low profile and quite stretched, more stretch than I've seen on any other OEM car. if it was my car, I'd definitely go with 1 inch smaller (even 2 if the brakes can fit in them) wheels and still have "performance car" size sidewall. and you can prolly go a size or 2 wider on stock width wheels without getting any bulge

biggest disappointment, there's nothing behind this "vent" (random pic, not the car from yesterday)
I expected some sort of heat exchanger back there or something, but no. just random crap... I mean maybe whatever is in there needs a bit of cooling, but it didn't look like any sort of fluid cooling part. don't even know how to describe it, some weird round looking thing

We literally complained/discussed/cried/complained about that vent already in this thread. Don't open old wounds.

The CTR front rotors are the same size as the Evo 10. The rears are 12.0 but solid :-X

haha, I remember the vents being ugly thing, I don't remember anything about that hole being there for no reason...

calipers are definitely bigger than Evo X though, thats prolly what made it look so huge to me

it's probably there to equalize pressure somewhere?

I just saw a vid where a group took one to Buttonwillow. It was BONE STOCK and did a 2:04.xxx. They said it would have been faster, but temps were rising, so they couldn't get into any type of rhythm for hot lapping; it was pretty much one and done.

That's pretty damned fast.
