"o you probably know that Honda with it’s new Civic Type R held the record for fastest FWD car around 1 lap of the ‘ring. Well not anymore. VW just broke that record with a scarcely believable, sub 8-minute, 7:49.21 which bested the Civic’s time by over a second (7:50.63). Pretty close when you consider the lap times are near 8 minutes long."

"A FWD VW GTI is officially faster than a Hellcat or an M4 around a track. That is just mind boggling. It also shows just how technologically advanced these cars are becoming as 10-15 years ago a FWD car doing a sub 8 minute lap on the Nurburgring would be completely laughable."

Are there two tracks? I saw a hotel close to a race track but I don't think it's the Nordschleife? How is the drive? Are they open March 4-7, 2019? Thanks Rob.
