Like for like it's no contest which is faster. Intresting. I can't wait to see one in the Evo...

If Im not mistaken, that's a vid from Best Motoring Intl wherein they tested the DSG equipped GTI against other cars on the track. Aside from the drag race, they also tested the DSG GTI on Sukuba and it beat the non DSG GTI to the finish. The DSG wouldnt be a bad thing for the EVO X, heck if it were an affordable option, I'd get it. Also, read Road and Track's test on the DSG GTI vs Mini S JCW vs Si you'd be amazed at how much of an advantage the DSG is over the other cars.

test drove a TT last year that was DSG... yes its the worlds fastest shifting automatic, and no VW will not sell it to ferarri (beats ENZO) but aside from that, there is no fun involved.... i cannot see driving something like that for any reason other than the drag strip, just not so conventional to me... Props for the great idea, and dominance over all other auto/stick trannies, but honestly not for me IMHO
