LOL there's that, too. Wonder if they'll do something more road course oriented since the Viper is gone again.

I remember years ago when I owned a smogged out 1978 Trans Am. That thing has less than 200 hp at the wheels and I was sideways with the least amount of moisture on the pavement. When you stick 840 horsepower into a car you need to do more than drop in the engine. Well, I guess you could buy it as a trailer queen.

Viper is more of a Corvette competitor though. A special performance edition Challenger would need to compete with the Mustang GT350 and all the special edition Camaro's, which is too many to list at this point.

although remember when a special edition american car was a badge and a hoodscoop, maybe different wheels still wrapped in all season tires. now every special edition Camaro really is special and has real performance behind it. pretty awesome!

Can't quite afford the Demon?

How about this - a track-going, Widebody Hellcat?

Note the section about the trackability of this package...

Road & Track

Car & Driver

Seems more Sensible. What????!!!???

I like their claim of the cooling system good for 20 mins of hard driving, lawyer speak for 20 min track session.. but tacked on fender flares don't make a "widebody", it makes fender flares
