2018 Kia Stinger New Fat AWD turbos

First drive intro to magazines on the 'Ring.

No manual.

"The Stinger GT is also offered with an all-wheel-drive system developed by a Hyundai Motor Group–owned supplier and utilizes an electronically controlled center clutch, open differentials, and brake-actuated torque vectoring."

3800lbs in RWD form and 255hp? Meh.

Good thing the AWD version has the V6 turbo.

It has a center diff which puts it ahead of the Fusion Sport. The Fusion setup seems similar to the RS, with the subtraction of torque-vectoring.

fusion sport isn't exactly marketed as a sports car though

Golf R/S3/RS3/TTS/TTRS also have open diffs and seem to do pretty well.

I really wish it came with a manual though. Fingers crossed for the new 2018 Accord Sport to offer a 6 speed with variant of the Civic Type R motor. Rumor mill has it coming with around a 275 hp 2.0 Turbo 4 to replace the V6. Won't be AWD though.
