BMW 2000
Honda 2001

Chevrolet 2007
Jeep 2007
Land Rover 2007
Saturn 2008
Scion 2008
Jaguar 2009
Ferrari 2010 - loved seeing this one on the list
McLaren 2011
Telsa 2012

It looks like, having BMW in the bag, they signed contracts with three car makers per year, probably as they expanded production.
The unexplored question is that the manufacturers knew there was issues with Takata's type of inflator but also sought significant cost savings.

Worst kind of manufacturing mistake. Developing a life saving device w/an inherent defect, & then duplicating the mistake millions & millions of times

I work in the industry, w/stints in both Q.C. & mostly warranty. Make one w/a mistake, you can easily make hundreds, thousands if not corrected

We have much tighter reporting procedures enacted by NHTSA (Tread ACT) after the Ford /Firestone rollover debacle (still didnt stop Takata)
