Look at the new ford product!
Kinda sexy to be honest. I really like the new Mustang...it harkens back to the good ol' days of the Mach 1.
What's wrong with calling it a GT-R? Are you crabby because you think only a Skyline can be a GT-R? You should look for cars from other manufacturers that have been called GT-Rs. There have been quite a few, and the Skyline wasn't the first.
Don't be hating cuz it's a Ford. That just makes you a vehicular racist. lol.

i love the new '05 mustang. If you read any of the '05 mustang threads, I defend it whole heartedly. I have always been a Mustang fan and always will.
This new concept is just kinda silly if you ask me. I don't like the giant bleacher they call a rear wing. Also, that color is unbefitting of the car, but at least it's not mashed pea green.
I know that there have been many GT-R's in automotive history, but I'm looking at this from a legal perspective. Everyone knows Nissan intends to bring the GT-R over here in a few years, so I can almost bet you Ford concocted this concept up to get the domestic market assocciating GT-R with the Mustang brand (and a possible copyright, but I don't think it's possible to copyright that particular abbreviation). Now when Nissan brings the GT-R over here, people who don't know anything about the Skyline history will assume that Nissan is copying Ford's naming scheme.
Low J, if they keep a solid axle on that car, I would be very surprised. This car is basically going to be a bridge between the Cobra R and the GT40 (it's being pieced by the same team that's working on the GT40), so one can only assume that it will have the independent rear setup in it.

As long as they go IRS, and change the wing, I think it'll be a pretty rare car. REALLY, who wants to drive a 'stang without a solid axle?!
Looks good though, if that was production, I'd say 56K on the price.

I absolutely hate Mustangs, but even I must admit that that model does look alright. The wing is a little overdone, but that can always be fixed. I'd rather see them bring the Bronco back though!
I saw the new 2005 Mustand at the NYC Auto Show last year. Pictures don't do that car justice. You have to see it in person. I want to test drive one. The GT-R looks sweet. I am wondering how well it will handle. No need to worry about power, the thing is sick. I think American Cars are finally coming around for the better. Props to Ford!

I like it. That bad boy looks mean as hell. I even like the wing. The car reminds me of the old TransAm Series racers, lowered with big tires. That side exit exhaust maybe just show, but it gets me all sweaty thinking about hearing that right behind the driver's seat.
