Plenty of 200K plus F150's, and many are work trucks.

The woman has 82K on here 2.0 ecoboost escape. No engine problems,
but a lot of minor issues with it. Oil pissing out vent tube on rear diff,
turbo oil line had a minor leak, couple interior trim things not screwed
down all the way (rear hatch handle was practically falling off, all the screws
were started, just not cinched up)

I think the worst thing long term is going to be deposits, due to DI,
but that is not exclusive to turbos. Ford added DI, but also kept port inj
on new stang.

I'm still running the OEM turbo and my car is coming up on being 15 years old. Fifteen years is the total life of a car driven in the salt belt.

The best "mod" one can do to any car, especially a DI engine, is a proper catch can. As soon as my mom got her 2.0T Sonata that's the first thing I did. Pulls about the same amount of gunk as the Driven Fab on my Evo, 200-300ML between oil changes. Curious to see how it helps in the long run.

I assume extreme salt-preservation methods, undercoating, fluid film?

Some people are saying that DI engines might also soon need particulate filters on the exhaust.
