its a semi closed block....with hipo cast everything....better than normal...but not near forged

and the reason people cant hold boost is cuz theyre dumb****s and dont retard timing....

the sti motor will do as much *** 44 degrees advance......thats a **** load when youre tyirng to shove a ton of hot air in it.....

maybe there are too many people on here that haven't been around for very long, but this will give you all you need to know about the r32/evo/sti

https://www.evolutionm.net/features/article/lanevo/26

i can't believe no one else mentioned it! from what the guys at tire rack ended up saying, the stock tires on the r32 are what gave it its loss... the r32 seemed to be right up to par with the evo and sti!

The HPA R32 ran 11.4 in the 1/4 on pump gas, and has a top speed of 202 mph..... Yeah, try and beat that.

0-60 in 3.2 seconds
0-30 in 1.1
.... god you guys are right, this thing is a freakin POTATO!

409whp@5,250rpm / 437ft-lb@4,500rpm

It's all in the May/04 Modified Mag (the one with the vivid STI on the cover) also, goto www.HPAmotorsports.com

Ummm yea, and how much did that cost?

I'm a VW guy, still have my vw emblem on my keys, and I hate to say it, but the R32 is a flop for VW. The seats are nice, the steering wheel is dope, but the tunability is slim to none without big money.

Oh well, I'd still take one as a daily driver

The Evo can make over 500WHP on STOCK INTERNALS and no doubt yank a mid 10 at 130MPH. You guys have not LIVED until you had your self a turbo upgrade. Thing a 16G is big? Negro Pleaze get a 50TRIM and see the landscap bend as you hit the pedal, nearing BIKE times and traps.

16G is only the beginning, go bigger, hurt exotics...

I heard rumors, the kit is like 27K total.

EIP is coming out with an affordable turbo kit.

....No one said it was expensive to modify, they said it was slow. I posted an example of a fast R32.
