GR Corolla in the best spec coming in. Am I crazy ?
The Loft / EvoM Car Talk CornerThe landing pad for automotive discussions, news, articles, and opinions. A place for the community to kick back and chat.
Nobody is getting any GR Corolla under 50k right now.
"Nobody" is inaccurate. A good amount of people have purchased Core models for MSRP or slightly over, which is not 50k. Just avoid the dumbass greedy dealers asking 20k over.
So like I said, I’m on the money. Nobody is getting any GR Corolla under 50k right now. MSRP is nearly impossible. My car is worth 50-55 so I think I am more than fair.
I have 20+ cars, I prefer stripped out which is why I like the RS. VW in my name is from my old daily back in the day. I do love VWs though lol.
rare (for now) and all-hyped up (we haven't seen anyone dominate with this car, like the evos did for decades) is not a fair trade with a low mileage evo (honestly I'm not into the RS). maybe you can just buy the next one that comes up with cash

You own 20 cars? We are going to need photos now.
first of all, you’re wrong, 45-55k is the normal for these cars right now: a base model is 36k without diff packs.

In regards to the pictures absolutely not.
Sorry, I am not. You stated NOBODY is getting them for under $50k and you are wrong. People have bought them at MSRP or slightly over. Some are crazy over and idiots are getting those. There is proof all over the FB groups, YouTube, forums, etc.
Core base is $35,900 + Cold Weather/Performance/Tech package is $38,350. Even with a $5k markup and tax/etc that is under $50k. Without a markup that is well under $45k. If you get a core with JUST the Performance package, even less.
I don't need to do your homework for you. If you really own twenty cars, I would think you would be more savvy about this. IMHO, you're full of it, and if you aren't, not sure how you got all that without following logic.

show me the "next one" as if a sub 30k mile rs is that easy to find. I guarantee il beat whatever price op is willing to pay. If you think the current pricing is hype for these cars, you haven't seen anything yet.
Low miles for sure, but very far from stock. And for some psychotic reason, he has what looks like the Lancer spoiler. The description says that the trunk (along with the hood, bumpers and fenders) is not the original one, and he likely swapped it with one that came from either a 2003 Evo VIII (since those ones had those small wings as the standard factory one on the complete base model with no options, as the taller carbon fiber one was a $450-500 factory option, though the vast majority of ones ordered by dealerships had that option) or from just a Lancer that wasn't an Evo or a Ralliart (since those ones had different taillights that go with different-shaped trunks).

hey hey hey
dont shoot the messenger
i saved and saved to have cash for a new 23 Type R or a GRC.
As I look at this listing I notice some strange build choices on this Evo. The roof is painted black. It has a built engine, bbk-b turbo, and 280 cams yet its limited to 16 psi. As a result of the boost limit the motor doesnt make that much more power over a stock Evo at a lower boost than stock. I thought that this might have been done to adhere to some racing class but it sort of seems like a break in engine tune.
The tires are super cheap to buy on amazon so it does seem like most of the changes to the car made by the current owner were to make it look stock and driveable on a budget. The current owner is likely banking on a profit by flipping this car. It might have had better wheels and tires than this before and we could see them for sale after this Evo sells.
Another detail is the fake Evo 7 tailights. It never looks better than the original for a reason.
At least it will give us an indication if the BAT market even cares about that.

There is close to zero base models out there. All the cores that I’ve seen with the performance packages have had JBL and cold climate bringing the total to a hair under 40k. Find me one listed by a dealer for sale under 50k in any trim right now.
in regards to my cars, you sound like the typical forum idiot from ten years ago who struggles to believe someone when they make a statement that indicates they have some money to spend on cars I’ll be looking forward to you posting links to all the cars for sale under 45k currently available since my logic sounds very easy to disprove. 🤡

I have an open checkbook. Don’t bet money you don’t have

Wrong again. I stated "Cold Weather/Performance/Tech package" which includes what you described. Core base is $35,900 + Cold Weather/Performance/Tech package is $38,350
Now I understand the confusion here, you have no idea what you are talking about. I laid everything out for you. I'm not doing anymore homework for you.

It always surprises me that people who flip cars, spend a lot of $$ everywhere, but cheap out on tires....

factor in destination which you FORGOT to do and your a hair under 40k. I have one built like that coming in soon so I would know. By the way with tax title reg minimum the cars at 42k if your on the east coast (Ny,ct,ma)
