Nissan saw the light (to some degree) though. Its highly profitable truck lines enabled them to sell less profitable models like the Z. I wonder if Honda will do the same.

Wow, thats good, I never thought it that way. On the Del Sol comment, isn't the Del Sol technically a CRX? I mean, thats what it was called in Japan no? And on the saftey regulations, they could bring back the CRX. Of course it would be different and you are correct in saying that they wouldnt be able to repeat the formula and keep it affordable. I had a 89 CRX HF that was a little over 1800 pounds. They couldn't repeat that with todays regulations and not make the car out carbon fiber or some other super-lightwieght material.
