It is so SAD.

Supras are gone, prelude, crx, probably the s2000 and now the NSX. And I'm seeing a future for mitushibishi to even discontinue the evos....

there is really nothing left for car enthusiasts to really enjoy but bunch of SUVs and hybrids.

The NSX isn't discontinued, just that the new one is no longer being worked on. At least according to that article.

The 2nd to last paragraph will really hit home for enthusiasts of Honda's performance cars. It's becoming another company of trucks and bland appliances.

From what I've been reading that's not 100% yet. They might come with a surprize.

Hmmm this is the first I've heard of that, I hope they don't. I have a 91 NSX and love it and if I can ever afford to get a new one I will.

They need to can the current NSX. It may have been a great car back in 1992, but with the current crop of cars they need something new. G35, C6, Evo, STi, 350Z, Viper, 996, Elise and you want to buy a 80K NSX?

From a press statement released from Mitsubishi, they are down sizing from 15, they are basing models off of the Pajero (thats a montero right?) Galant, Eclipse(for north america) and of course the Evo. There might be some others too, but I said the most omportant word, evooooo

Hmm sounds like what a another Japanese carmaker sis on the early 90's, Nissan. Dumped the 300ZX, and thinned out everything with a SE-R badge till it was dead, well atleast on this side of the pond. Then they started changed all the bodystyles into stupid IMO. Atleast they made a comeback, you know we never did get a proper 240SX.

With modern safety and emissions laws, it'd be nearly impossible to match the original formula. The CRX died in '92 when the Del Sol came out. Any 'return' will be a grab at past glory (GTO, anyone?)
