I like Bangle design. Not sure why, but the cars are just great to look at once you see all the little things going on. Obviously I know I'm in the minority big time on that, but I love the look. The new 7 is a pretty decent looking car, but the Z4 and new 5 are awesome. I love them.

Although Bangle heads the BMW design team, IIRC, he didn't actually pen those cars. I believe the fellow that had the largest influence on the 5 and 7 was actually of Korean (or thereabouts... Vietnam, Laos) origin.

True, but when you head the design department, you have final say. So, sure, he might not have penned the actual cars, but he gives them the go-ahead. It should be "Bangle- era" design, not actually "Bangle" design. Either way, I like what BMW has coming out. I like the look and hope it continues.

Chris Bangle, chief designer of BMW has been removed from direct styling responsibility for all future models. He has been "promoted" to the newly created post of Director of BMW Group Design, an executive position distanced from the design floor
I think that happened last month

he was replaced by Adrian van Hooydonk I think

Im with the group calling B.S. on 0-150 in 15 seconds or less...Im guessing at least 22 seconds or even the 24 seconds....24 seconds may seem kinda slow but definitly more probable than 15 seconds.

More 0-150 times:

Aston Martin Vanquish 24.0
Ferrari 575 F1 21.3
Lamborghini Murciélago 19.5
Mercedes AMG SL55 476 hp 23.1
Pagani Zonda S 7.3l 17.0
Porsche 911 Turbo S 450 hp 20.5
TVR Cerbera 4.5 Red Rose 19.8

All tested same time/location.

The new M5 should spec out very similarly to the 575 F1. Not sure what could be going to shave 6+ seconds off that 0-150 run. The BMW launch control could help a bit, but the 575 is faster to 60 than the M5. I'm thinking a typo is the most logical conclusion - I'd say a dyslexic 19.4 seconds.

I love the new M5 I think it looks killer and that new engine is to die for over 500 horse power and pulling 1.3 g for lateral force thats one hell of a car.
