Scion Warrenty!

Extended 10/100,000 Warrenty used to be around a couple thousand and now it is free thanks to Koren automakers. Now, the 3/40,000 free maintenance service that was annouced (thanks to BWM or BM?) by Mitsucars. There seem to be a trend for Mitsu to have the best backed warrenty in the industry but they forgot to follow the Scions.

I'm just hoping now the industry (or just mitsucars) will have Scion's warrenty practice. Scions will install TRD parts and the car will still be covered under the warrenty. Such as getting a Supercharger for the Tc, Cold Air Intakes, Lowering Springs, and Clutches.

What I'm really looking for now (as a start) is a dealer (hopefully in Norcal) that will honor the warrenty if the aftermarker parts are installed at that dealership or start selling Ralliart parts that will not void the warrenty.

Maybe WORKS and a local Mitsu dealership can work out a deal. Buy WORKS product and get it installed at the dealership and not voiding out the warrenty.

If Scion can put in a 40hp supercharger on a 160hp car and still have rock solid car then I hope the EVO8 can handle a little bit of aftermarket bolt-ons without blowing the car up and voiding the warrenty.

I saw that in the commercial. I guess we don't get that free maintenance. it's only for 04's.

That just blows.

offering a warranty and honoring it are two different things... mitsu tends to have a major problem with honoring their so called "best backed" warranty...

I know, it's hard to honor warrenties on the EVO because many people do mod them. I bet Supras get turned down for warrenties just as much if not more than the EVOs (Someone please find if this is ture or false). You can't find a stock Supra TT.

I'm just asking Mitsu to offer aftermarket parts for sale and then honor the warrenty if the parts are installed at their service department. This is a win-win deal.

Mistu can offer BPU which will not cause your engine to blow up unlike NOS or 25G Turbos. The dealership will make some money.

Dealership can offer lowering spring like R*SR that doesn't slam the car, DP, IP, High Flow Cat, AB Exhaust, Drop-In Intake, and a clutch that is stronger than stock but not strong enough that it'll cause the tranny to give.

Will the warrenty be void if the dealership put on a stock MR turbo on a stock 2003 EVO8?

Something to think about.......
Anyone ever been turned down of warrenty because you had an aftermarket CD-Player? That could screw up the power windows, power locks, and maybe the starter. Anything electrical can be voided because someone had to cut or splice the factory wires. So don't ever install you own. Have Best Buy do it and if they mess up, they pay for it cause your warrenty sure won't cover it.

Actually, you can read fast enough the Evolution doesn't get this in their warranty and also it depends on the dealer if they want to honor it on the EVO or not!

They have no problem honoring it for every other model.

My dealer's general manager hates the fact that if something breaks on an Evolution under legitimate circumstances for someone, and he files a warranty claim, that it could be overturned by corporate. He almost advocated me tracking my Eclipse and beating the living daylights out of it, because they'd never question it, whereas my MR would likely be scrutinized over.
