With Daimler/Chrysler bringing back the good ole' rear wheel drive american muscle cars again with newer technology, its nice to see a change.

As appose to a supercharged V8 and RWD?
now all we need is some good gas prices... cause you know that it will probably use premium gas which is still way to close to 2bucks a gallon.. tie that in with a gastank that is near the size of a pickup and you are talkin 50+ a week easy on gas alone... sure its fun to drive, but eventually you wont be able to afford it... everyone in america wants more hp more tq and then ***** about the fact that it costs them more yearly to have it!
It's cool, I don't doubt for a second they'll put 440hp in it. It's a large car, it needs a lot of grunt to move it. Plus they need something exciting for Chrysler.

Still out of all the domestic, i rather be with ford, than dodge or chevy.
Autoweek has the official info.
It's going on sale in February 2005. Bore was increased 3.0mm to result in a displacement of 6059cc, 10.3:1 compression ratio, new camshaft, larger diameter hollow-stem valves, reshaped cylinder ports, new intake manifold, 1/4-inch diameter larger exhaust headers, forged steel crankshaft, con rods are stronger powdered-metal forgings, pistons run on floating pins and are cooled my oil squirters, sodium-filled exhaust valves, and a revised oil pan to reduce foaming. Redline is now 6,200rpm, with a 6,400rpm fuel cutoff.
HP is up to 425, torque peaks at 420-lb-ft. Transmission is the Mercedes-Benz 5-speed automatic A580, and the rear-diff is similar to the unit used in the Mercedes-Benz E500. Ride is 0.5 inches lower thanks to new front and rear suspension knuckles, tuned shocks, new spring rates and bushings, and larger front and rear swaybars. Wheels are 20-inch diameter forged aluminum with 245/45s in the front, and 255/45s in the rear. All four wheels have ventilated brake discs with 4-piston Brembo calipers.
The mirrors, grille and door trim go to body color, the front fascia is reworked with a functional air dam included brake air guides, dual chrome exhaust tips, and functional rear-deck spoiler to increase downforce by 39% with no increase on drag.
Curb weight is 4,160lbs. 0-60 is estimated to be 5.0 seconds, with mid-to-high 13-second 1/4 miles. Suspected 60-0 distance is 110 - 120 feet, which is impressive for such a large car.
