Pics of the prototype 300C SRT-8!
No need for flashy wheels during testing. I'm sure they wont' be black.
Also don't forget that the Chrysler line is more on the luxury end. Subtle queues and add on pieces so that you don't steal the original body lines.
You want more street agressive looks wait for the Magnum SRT-8.

rather import a used RS4 (2.7TT) = a real Uberwagon
Sorry - just can't stomach the Chrysler thing

By the way - the black wheels is the coolest thing on that car!

no - it's a buzz word that the marketing people have capitalized on (a little outdated design in the heads).
I'm actually planning on purchasing another car at the end of the year.. a Dodge Magnum SRT-8 (Hopefully with AWD since they will be offering it on the Magnum).. And I hope even more that they actually release it with the 6 speed manual from the viper...
I'm a bit skeptical. Just have good reason to be. The SRT-6 Crossfire was on my shopping list. Until it actually came out.
It's quick... but not SLK32 AMG quick -- which is odd, since the SLK32 is actually a bit heavier than the Crossfire. Maybe those 19" wheels which weigh 2 billion pounds had something to do with it. It handled well -- heck the original Crossfire can take corners -- but again, not SLK32 well.
In the end, it cost as much as a Corvette, so I told myself if I'm going to spend this kind of money it'll be on an M3, an S4, or a Corvette. The SRT-6 is guaranteed to be one thing though: RARE -- 50 years from now car collectors may be slitting each others throats over that car, because they're not going to sell very many. It's just an odd bird when you drive it. Its looks great on the outside, the interior is above average, and it has some go. But it just wasn't worth $46K in my opinion. I think a lot of folks will end up agreeing, and it'll be put out to pasture early.
A 440HP (god knows how much torque) 300C will sell extraordinarily well. What a tire-smoker! But I bet it'll still handle like a 2-ton car does. It may have the E-Class's suspension, but it doesn't handle like one.

The "Hemi" is marketing HYPE to heaven and back...the "HEMI" is nothing more than a regular 'modified penthouse' combustion chamber. Everybody uses that chamber design...and they were mostly standardized by yes, Honda...
Go Dodge! Its got a "Modified Penthouse" aka Hemi.

RS4 = *yawn*
Two turbos, awd, 380hp...been there done that.
SRT-8= supercharged 430hp/480lbs tq, REAR wheel drive wagon...hemi...SWEET.

Oh and you better get used to the Chrysler thing. With the new platform sharing with the lancer/neon and many other things your part of the family now.
I'll say this: be grateful
This is the first time in, well... damn... since I've been ALIVE in which American cars are truly becoming interesting. Hell, I grew up having to take rides in things like a Ford Tempo! Talk about CRAP!
We have the technology now (ABS, traction control, yaw control, vacuum-assisted braking, far better winter tires, etc) to go back to RWD without all these yahoos and coffee drinkers sliding sideways into a tree. Expect Chrysler to make a HUGE push to go completely back to RWD -- Mercedes' parts bin provides a good base too.
Look at the last 300. Bleh! I mean... bleh! I'm no Chrysler fan by any stretch of the imagination, but massive V8s with enough torque to move forests is enough to get my attention. 440HP will get anyone's attention. Notably mine.
This also opens to door for other things. I don't think there's too many folks that wouldn't welcome the twin-turbo V6 Ford Falcon that isn't currently sold in the states, if Ford thought about bringing it here. So smile at these new muscle cars -- because if we accept them, it could mean that American cars could finally get interesting -- which in turn means that Japan and Europe has to offer us even BETTER!

I just meant that a twin turbo awd car isn't really a "fresh" idea anymore and not appealing to me at least.
With Daimler/Chrysler bringing back the good ole' rear wheel drive american muscle cars again with newer technology, its nice to see a change.
