If I could justify a third car, this would be it! Hell, if the Elise was out when I was buying a car, I very well may have picked it over the Evo!

Questions:

MSRP? Yes, paid, it, and no markup. The markup for these ars is because of the unlimited number of delays from their factory, and the shipping delays. While there has been a large demand, there is also a lot of anger toward the company. Remember these cars were supposed to be here in April.

Options? I got the touring package, the hardtop, and the Starsheild, which is like a 3M coating that covers the front and sides of the car from paint chips, which are very common on the Elise. The total cost was around 47,000 which is no doubt a lot of money, elseicially for sucha small car, even though it is built by hand!

Fit? I am 6"3" and anout 225. I have a veyr athletic build, and there is no problem with fit for me. I will not go so far as to say that it is EASY for me to get in and out of, but it is not hard either. You just can't carry a lot of weight around your middle. The seats are narow, and I could anticipate problems for some poeple if they are larger down there.

Speed in gears? You are correct about the 80+ MPH in 3rd. The thing is though that the car REVS like crazy, and when it hit 6000, it tears its way to 8500. You have to keep reaching for gears, and before you know it you are going well over 100.

I am charging the camera, and will take a few pics after the car wash, around noon or so
