Received my LOTUS ELISE the other day!

Well I haven't posted here in a very long time, I guess I wanted to share the joy. I received my Elise the other day, and my god it is increadible. It is Ardent Red, and I live in the Austin, Texas area. Everything about this car that has been said is of course true, and it si wonderful. The acceleration is great, although with the redline at 8500, you hit over 80 MPH in third gear. The handeling is as good as reported too. The amazing part is that the car simply does not lean around corners, it stays perfectly flat. Also, under heavy braking or acceleration, the car doesn't dive or squat- at all. The engine noise is very very loud when you are inside the car, since the engine is 6 inches away from your head. I have received wayyy too much attention for this car in just a few short days. Don't get me wrong, it is somewhat gratifying is a juvenille sort of way, although it is funny. There are definatly 2 types of interest, 1. Cool red sports car, who makes it? How fast is it? 2. That is powered by the 2zz-ge engine right? How is mid range performance? It seems to be equally interesting to fans of the technical engineering, as well as a rare red car!! I have to say that I though this was funny. Anyway, just wanted to share the love on this board. If you see me driving around, or have any questions, don't be shy, I won't bite as long as I know you are part of this board!

Pics or ban. You make a thread and don't post pics? You're making us sad

It is dirty, need to get it washed tomorrow. There was a HUGe rain storm here the other day, and I felt like my littel car was going to float away!! It was actually scary, but not as scary as looking over at a Toyota Corolla and seeing that the top of the trunk is above my head when I am sitting in the car! Also, how do I upload the pics anyway, after I take them tomorrow?

Click the "Manage Attachments" button. Or, host them on another site, and just point to the files with the IMG tags.

If you fail to post pics, when I get my MR I'll drive to where you are and confiscate your Elise.

Doesn't the majority of 5 speeds standard transmissions do that? I know the Elise is a 6. Nive car by the way.

Oh man, I love the elise. A friend of mine ordered one about a year ago he'll be pleased to know everything is true. Congrats on the purchase! And good luck with all that attention.

Awesome. Congrats. I've seen a yellow one here in NoVa the last week or so. It's so great looking in person. Very exotic.
