wow, 139 posts, and all but 27 of them are in the buying/selling forum. After looking through his posts, I agree it looks like he bought a bad red, then sold it as good. October 19th he posted this:

Looks like someone was playing with the AntiLag with that turbo shooting flames out the exhaust and such. The shaft play had to be at least 1/4 inch looking from the Fatigue on the hot side, The thrust plate had to have been chewed up aswell, no saving any part of this turbo as im sure it Rubbed all over both sides of the housing.
Sucks, i really hope you get a refund if not i hope they can salvage the Houseing at least with some machine work, Still You should have gotten what you paid for.

*The marks on the backside of the compressor wheel are actually supposed to be there, its for balancing. But all the blades beeing f'd and the turbine wheel looking like its about to crack is not right.

It is clear that the turbo was pushed beyond its limits. It appears it was running far too much boost for what it was designed for. The internals were pulled against the cold side, damage shown on the compressor wheel, and damge shown on the back side of the exhaust turbine.
For the record, and for defensive purposes only (because there were false accusations made): the turbo that was recieved was blown and not usable. The day I received what I believed was a good turbo; I took it to a local shop that specializes in turbos. I did this knowing that I was going to need professional documentation to prove what had happened.
I STILL have the picture sent showing the serial tag that was sent before my purchase, which shows a very small amount of the numbers and letters. As well as the current compressor cover.
Again, my intent in this post is not to poke or jab; but simply to protect myself from what false accusations and illilegitimate posts made about my actions.

I know its broken and not really rebuildable but I was wanting to make a cool fp turbo show scale of stress. =) sorry to hear about your problems man sucks.... best wishes but I hope paypal helps you but IMHO when you buy off ebay paypal rarely and i mean rarely gets involved .You must have a good case for them not to close it on you already...

Did he happen to show you the FP inspection report? Whenever FP inspects a turbo, they send/email a copy of the inspection report to the person. Usually when someone is wanted to sell a turbo they had inspected, they post/share the inspection report.
