JDMEvo818 scammed me. Watch out.

I purchased a "good condition" FP JB red from him. I got it in the mail and the turbo had so much play I'm surprised it hadn't been blown apart on his car or who Evers it was was on. Took it to get inspected and the turbine is missing material on the inside and the seals were Gone long ago.

Prior to the sale he explained the turbo was near perfect, inspected by fp, and in running condition.

I'm out nearly 1000$ so watch out.

This was my first transaction here on Evo m, and I can now say its my last as a buyer. It's sad some people can't stay true to their word, and additionally its sad it resides in our community; or all communities at that.

I've contacted him since and once I proved evidence that the turbo was bad he stopped responding. I've opened a dispute with PayPal.

Will provide pictures later.

I also noticed that he just purchased a JB FP Red from another member on the boards. Here is a link to the thread...https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...forge-wga.html

Seems funny that he made a thread asking about if a FP Red is ball bearing or journal bearing. Someone told him to spin it and then shortly after it is for sale. Makes me wonder if it is the same turbo.

He clearly knows nothing automotive, I was calm and never made any threats of him scamming me until now; simply because I provided proof that the turbo was shot under opening the package.

He has now LIED to paypal and shown a disagreement with them, still saying the turbo is "good".

Here is how turn up the internals were in the Red:

You can see how there is even material missing from the hot side of the turbine, as well as material from the finds themself on the cold side.

It is also funny to look at the finds of the cold side and see that he cleaned what was visible for the picture.

So here it is, Eugenia or Jon, whatever name you go by. Step up and be a man.

I have currently filed a dispute, and for some reason he believes he's done nothing wrong. He has not repsonded to me, but paypal has let me know he is in disagreement. I have no posted this in my local forums. Thanks for the kind words man. I'm going to do my best in the process.

I also have word and proof of an invoice from a turbo business stating that this was the condition this turbo was in prior to disassembling.

The turbo arrived yesterday, and was dropped off at the shop yesterday.

It doesn't even take mechanical prowless to determine that shaft, the bearings and compressor wheel is F^$KED! JDMEvo818 probably knew it too, so JDMEvo818 is just being a punk.

I can't imagine paypal not refunding you the cash from JDMEvo818, it's quite obvious JDMEvo818 is giving our community a bad name. I've had a number of good purchases come from Evom, it's BS that JDMEvo818 has to be lame, and JDMEvo818 had to ruin your buying experience. Hopefully JDMEvo818 will fess up and make things right.

JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818 JDMEvo818

Just in case anyone else searches for his Alias before buying from JDMEvo818 next time. Good luck man!

keep updating paypal. make sure they know you have receipts and communications with the seller about the condition and that the shop verified the condition before ripping it apart to look at the internals etc

the more proof / info you provide paypal with, the better

That's a shame man... But please don't let this one incident sway your views on this forum as far as the classifieds section goes. For every 100 good apples, there's bound to be 1 bad one.

The damage looks terrible....That's probably the result of insane amounts of boost that the turbo was not intended for.
