joemflsxe wants payment in full and if you waste his time he will hurt your feelings
Yeah I'm totally a dbag for not doing business with someone who my bank labeled as a scammer and refunding his deposit.

I don't want to take sides. I think the issue Joe, is the way you come across. You sound very condescending. Someone being annoying, and you speaking to them like they are totally irrelevant are two different things. At what point did it come to that?

Communication is key when dealing with people in general in any situation. Especially when spending or recieving $20,000. Sounds like the guy just really wanted to buy the car. Maybe thats why he was bugging out about making the deal happen.

I understand the bank situation wasn't to your standards, but you guys should have got on the TELEPHONE and worked something out or told each other to screw off.

I wish you both the best. Sucks it didn't work out.

Just for the record Joe, once again you are contradicting yourself. Earlier in this thread you weren't so quick to refund me the deposit, you told me "if you got a problem Mike file a dispute" and now you are acting like you are doing the right thing by giving me my deposit back. Just like you were acting like giving me your power of attorney was strange until the mod posted this was completely normal then you acted like that was the point when I finally started working with you(which you didn't even respond to). At that point I knew it was probably over but I was still trying to make it work.

I did want this car but I won't buy anything unless we agree on everything and I couldn't even get an answer out of Joe or I would have been there yesterday with my certified check in hand.

There are no feelings hurt and I am not posting this to "cry" about it. This is a business deal and it didn't work out....It doesn't even matter who's fault it is....no problem, just give me my depsoit back.

There were questions of my own about this deal but I am not going to go into detail.

Those few emails from Wednesday morning were me trying to get a response from Joe. If I was going to book a flight I had to make plans and tell work I am taking the day off. There were no responses to my questions. I was badgering him with emails but I was trying to get a response.....positive or negative.

I tried posting up the whole conversation from my Gmail account but it doesn't come out right.

This is my last post until I receive my refund...I know I said that before but I feel like my credibility is on the line and all I did was try to male this happen. Honestly I don't feel at fault in the least bit. Bottom line when Joe was not OK with the terms HE agreed to I changed them to try to accomodate him (this is the part he has never once even addressed)
But no repsonse as to a method that would work. All he said was "money talks Mike" and then "transfer the funds".

Anyone looking at my statements here can see that everything I have said is exactly what happened....just look at the emails.

I don't understand what is so hard about buying a car LOL
I am from Ontario Canada. I seen an EVO in Utah I wanted. I pm'ed buy, he PM'ed back. I called buyer, he called back. I DID NOT leave a deposti. He held the car based on my word I was going to buy it. I flew down there with my pops, the seller met us at airport and picked us up. We looked at car, test drove car... Flying out the far, my pops only bought one way tickets, we weren't going that far to LOOK at a frickin car. My pops asked if I liked it? I said yes. The seller asked for a specific check, and we messed up cause I had took the money from my account with the check he wanted and gave it to my dad so he can right a bigger check cause I didn't have the full amount and his banke wrote him the wrong check. No sweat, we wired transfered the money. The next day I had my car and the seller had his money. Done deal!
You both live in the US, it should be easier for your banks/credit unions to communicate.

Yeah it's not complicated and just needs to be done a certain way. At this point Mikes just trying to point out that I'm an *******. There's no scam, no ones lost goods/money and I told him he was being refunded before he even asked. Problem?

Replied to all PM's/emails.

Yes both sides have a ton of miscommunication and the banks aren't helping. Definitely best for both parties to pass. But I did want to mention one thing. A certified check means nothing to a sellers lien holder. The reason being is it can be cancelled just like a regular check. They will follow procedure and it will go through a clearing phase then release etc. it's best to write two checks. One to pay off lien and then another to seller if their is any meat left on the bone. It should be sent directly to the lien holder so there is a third party and bank rep involved. The car should be released immediately if the seller is decent upon bank rep verifying the check is legit. The good news for the buyer is there are a ton of nice evo's out there and ones much cheaper. I wouldn't buy a car from someone who was acting like a douche no matter how good the deal was... As for the seller, there is an a$$ for every seat. It's very hard to sell stuff right now and I'd be a little more accommodating. Just my .02

When I bought my car I saved up and paid cash. I literally was gonna bring cash... But he asked for a cashiers check. All he had to do (the seller) was call the bank and verify the check was legit and the funds were there. Once complete, I picked up the car and title. Took like 2 days if that. Not sure if certified is the same as cashiers check, but the bank should be able to cut you a cashier check even if the bank is financing the deal. I could be wrong, but it worked well for me.

Buying a car should be a FUN experience. If not, I guarantee you, you can find a better car. Just keep searching. Find a seller that is eager to help you, and vise versa.

Hey, you all need to give Joe a break. If you couldn't make the payments on your car and had to sell it (as well as use someone's deposit as a payday loan), you'd be acting like you had a beach-dipped tampon inside you, too.

Move on.

It's gargaged because I don't live in Naples anymore, I took a job that forced me to relocate last year and don't have a garage where I currently live so the Evo didn't come. It's part of the reason why I'm selling it, I'm too busy with work and do not have the proper space to keep her the way I'd like to.

I transferred it to my bank account earlier this week.

The bank account is not my primary anymore (I didn't even want a deposit since I haven't used paypal in years) so I then transferred to my current bank.
Yesterday I sent the deposit back to my bank account associated to paypal.
This takes 3-4 business days.
As soon as the funds transfer back into my account associated with paypal the refund will process.
