Easy as Pie

I've never had any issues with inspections in VA. As long as you have no codes, i.e. have your MAF & ECU in place, and have a CAT on the car you should be good to go. All they're going to do is plug into your OBD-II and check for codes and then you're done. Well, as long as you don't have a busted windshield or inoperative lights, etc.

I have aftermarket exhaust, turbo, BOV, wastegate, etc. and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. All the tech did was look under the car for a cat (it's a Helix high-flow model)....he never went under the hood.

Nice another yellow one in town, I was feeling abit lonely with my Ly one. it sucks cause mine looks like crap now cause some dumb!#@$ decided they were either going to fall into my driver side door or someone kicked my door and left a ginormas dent in the driver side door and I don't know who did it cause I was sleeping and came out the next day and there it was. I hate apartment complexes.

Taking chances

I don't think it matters what state you're in, due to the year of your car you'll need a cat no matter what. Of course, if they don't look...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you get caught w/o a cat it's something like a $2500.00 fine. I'm in the same situation until I de-register my car this weekend and start turning it into a track wh0re.

not sure really. im sure its still illegal though. but i grew up in SC an they dont have any kind of inspections and u dont have to have a front plate. as long as its got wheels an rolls they dont seem to give a damn lol...

Hey guys, newish here. Got my Evo back in March just getting around to posting. I live in Charlottesville and goto school in Newport News. I have a friend Richy with a silver WRX that kept trying to get me to come out to some regular Tuesday meet but I had a school function every Tuesday night. Hope to see you guys around when I'm back at school in August.

GauGe, if you have access to a welder and an extra heat shield lying around just weld that onto your exhaust. Works for me.

Gary 805, which pipe is it you need exactly? The lower half of the UICP?

Anyone in the area paint head/tail lights? Evodave won't respond to me anymore so he's not getting business from me.

Ohyea, here's a pic of my car.
