im in southeastern va, but am looking for shops or a person who can help me do a good job on cam install for a reasonable price. Aint no decent shops around here who can help me do cam installs because they don't specialize in the evo. Since I would have to drive 2:30-3hours up north I am looking for a reliable person or shop who can install my gsc 272/264 cams with arp headstuds and conrod bolts, as stated in my sig 8- ) I am willing to spend around no more than $225 for the cam install with the studs and bolts in total if a shop does it, because I will have to drive a bit to get up there, and plus I am on a stock clutch and the might need one asap after getting the cams installed. As for a person, I've seen few people on here who would do them for $150, the most I would pay if a person does it will be $175... I already posted on dcevoclub.com just in case, but if ya can hook me up with a really good price and can do good work, give me a pm please. Thanks

fareastkorean: $225 with parts? or $225 just labor? I have a cam install with head studs and possibly cam gears in the works for the first week of june. I can check the books and get you a quote if you are interested... BTW On DCEvo you said $200 which like the guys at AMS Said, thats insane.

sure, give me a message with a quote, but I am not paying more than $225 if I have to drive 2hours or more 8- ) Because of the travel and gas, but yea $200 was a bit to low so I believe an extra 25 would be reasonable for both sides 8- )

I dunno bout that...$225 is still pretty low considering its about an 6 hour job on the books and you are only willing to pay $37.50 an hour when most shop rates are $69+

As for the shops that I heard of in northern va such as ams quoted me for $275, redshift quoted me at $275, and ispracing for $270, could you do better than them? If so by how much?? If its only 5-10 bucks I rather go to them.
