Third Annual Mach V Track Day: Oct 14-15 2006!

Ever wonder what your modded (or stock) Evo will do -- REALLY do -- but don't want to risk your driver's license? Come out to the track for a completely legal opportunity to drive your car to the limit! Oh, and you get to hang out with the Mach V staff and lots of other cool gearheads.
What: Mach V Track Event III
When: October 14-15, 2006
Where: Summit Point Raceway main course
We'll be doing this as part of a NASA "High Performance Driving Event" (HPDE). That means we don't have to worry about the logistics of running the actual event, but as a sponsor we get some perks. Those include a special Mach V pre-registration period, special Mach V paddock parking area so we can line up all the Evos next to each other
, and a bit of publicity for Mach V Motorsports. Plus, for those of you who attend, we'll have some other fun stuff, like manufacturer parts giveaways.If you're new to track driving, this is a great way to start! You can read up on the HPDE events at the NASA Mid-A home page. There are different classes based on your level of driving experience. You can drive any car, from DSM to Evo to...well, if it can pass the tech inspection, you can drive it. And if you're not new to track driving, it's a well-run, action-packed event, with plenty of seat time and lots to see when you're not driving.
Cost is $310 for the weekend. You have to be a NASA member to participate; that's $40, but you get a free year's subscription to Grassroots Motorsports, which is more than worth it. You can sign up at the same time you register for the driving event.
Pictures of our last Mach V Track Event are here. We usually have about 30 WRXs and Evos, plus other fun friends-of-Mach V cars.
I hope to see you all there! Special Mach V pre-registration open now; see big link below.
Register here.

if you goto www.nasaracing.net there's the whole schedule for NASA's events.. I believe Dan @ Mach V usually co-host the last event of the season with NASA Mid-A Region.

You're welcome to come out and watch. It's a lot of fun, even for spectators.
We'll have a section of the paddock reserved for our Mach V group. Look for us across from the tech shed.

^ there were touring laps that you could have done during the lunch hour that you could do for $15 to just have a look see what the track is like.. no passing and the speed is limited to 60 mph.. no helmet required either.
^ racer eh? then you should have been there to get your time trials license and race.. if you are already doing solo2, you should move up to solo1 speeds
oh, and you dont need a roll cage to do time trials with NASA (although you should if you plan to go that fast
)

Already have my license, although I have only done 1 race this year due to a now 21 month old son and a nearly ready to pop (8 1/2 month) pregnant wife. It kinda eat your time up
