3 and Gennie: Good Luck! When I got of the caffeine juice the headache hit me at about 3PM but went away with 2 Advils...after that its easy as pie but starting to drink water when you don't like it is really hard...I like Deer Park since it has very little actual taste...you could also try adding in the little Crystal Lite thingys...I feel like I can taste the artificial sweeteners but they work for some people.

The smoking thing, well, that was more of a challenge for me because it was so much a part of my routine (and ya'll know I've fallen off that wagon a few times). I quit with a few smokes left (like 3) so if I had a breakdown, I didn't have to run out and get a whole new fresh tasty wonderful pack and feel like "that would be the last pack". All I know is that people who use the gum, get addicted to it, the Nicorette isn't for light smokers like yourself. So you've either got cold turkey or addictive gum...its a tough call beause cold turkey isn't easy.

Welcome Pheral! We live in MD but also have a small apt in Alexandria off Rt 1...most of the places along that corridor have metro shuttles and gyms and all that fun stuff. One of the places (high rises just over into VA right when you come off 95) actually had a convenience store in the building which was super nice. You also might want to check in on dcevoclub a lot of those peeps are in NoVa/DC too.

 

I just took my first sip of soda.. and I must say it tastes like heaven... LOL I am rationing it out so it will be my first and last....We can do this 3!!

Motivation boost came just in time. Just like Jenn said, I quit with about 5 cigs in the pack and I was about to faulter, but my resolve will stand now!
