RaceComp/GTWorx spring pics

The guys at Racecomp just installed these yesterday. They guys are really nice and are VERY meticulous in their work.

I felt bad for getting brake dust and dirt all over their floor.

Tell us about the ride and handling! I have these springs on pre-order. :-)

I posted in the thread in the performance forum, but basically...

It's much more firm than stock. Little noticeable body roll. Going over bumps/dips while a little harsher (which is to be expected) isn't much worse than stock.

I haven't really pushed it in a turn yet since I need an alignment, but from just driving it, it's definitely more responsive and you feel more connected to the road.

Yeah, I saw your reply in the original thread about the springs. I guess what you say pretty much sums it up. Were you coming from stock springs? Right now I have Skunk2 garbage springs on my car (they were on it when I bought the car, sigh....) and I want a quality suspension! I was gonna switch back to stock, but I really want a cleaned up ride height, the best ride possible, equal or better handling, etc. It sounded like the GTWorx springs were gonna be the way to go...

Thanks for the info!

Yup, my car was pretty much stock (just an alpine headunit) this is the first real mod.

The car looks great Prin!

From the passenger seat, the ride is pretty smooth compared to other lowered/altered Evo's I've ridden in.

I know it's far but PTuning in VA did a really good job with our alignment and it was very reasonably priced as well.

I'm gonna ask some of my Autocross buddies. I think they get a discount somewhere too.

Kaioshin,

You have been living with the springs for almost 2 weeks. Any additional thoughts/reviews/disappointments/gripes/praises/quirks/etc.? Thanks for any info that you can provide us!

Not really. They have been very good to me so far. Sometimes I forget I have non stock springs and roll over big bumps a little too fast.

there was this one time where I think I may have bounced off the bump stops, but now that I think about it, I might have had a bunch of stuff in the trunk. I hasn't happened in a while. I may need to drive back over where it happened.
