Also the dust the flew all over the cars and maybe even some interiors with open windows would make anyone an idiot to drive on that track.

You are correct about the dust part, but honestly when you expect 10k plus people for an event, and VW pride themselves usually on not going fast but track cars and twisties or whatever, You would think common sense that it being a dirt track outside of the normal horse track they would have signs. I mean its common sense for them to put up signs, I bet it would make everyone think twice.

Just my .02, I am not saying either way they were wrong or right doing it, but the whole point is judging from common sense, the dude in the s3 had either zero or close to zero common sense...

That was great. You do have to admit though. That would be fun as **** to drifting around the horse track.

I would actually prefer no one to wreck their car but when you act like a dumbass a good reminder such as that would make you think twice before they did something ignorant again.

Why discriminate someone just because they have a certain car? They should get whats coming to them.

The one thing that pisses me off is when someone goes somewhere and has to act like they've never been released from the house before and do ignorant stuff like that. Sure some people think its funny.... some people think its dumb. All it does is cause problems.

Have you noticed that on the vortex forums people are saying it was the property owners responsibility to put up some kind fo barricade around the horse track? What about those people on here that are saying that there should have been signs to tell you that you can't take your CAR onto the HORSE TRACK? What kind of stupidity is this world coming to that people actually need signs for something so obvious?

Well I believe it was his responsibilty to put up signs. The track that is out where all the cars is wasnt there last yaer, and its new. The main horse track is inside the facility. Therefore I must say he should have put up signs, and its obvious that they will next year

soooo... lemme get this straight. people need to put up signs, to tell other people not to do something retarded... say like driving a CAR on a HORSE track? Really??? wow....

It just sucks that stuff like that ruins the reputation of true auto enthusiasts.

I'm sure there are no signs anywhere on the Golden Gate bridge that say "Don't drive car off of bridge." Go ahead and give that a shot.. tell me how it works out. I mean, hell, if there isn't a sign, go ahead and do it I guess.

If people need signs everywhere to tell them what they should and shouldnt do they need to keep their butt at home or be put on a leash in the basement.

Do you go into a public bathroom and see people peeing all over the place because there isnt a sign above the toilet or urinal that says "hang your weiner over this and make your deposit"?

How about dinner? Have you seen alot of people eat with their hands because they arent quite sure what the silver stuff is for on the left and to the right because there isnt sign sitting in front of them that says "Use the items to your left and right to eat with"?

Do you see people stop by all the local schools that have running / walking tracks and drift those because there are no signs?

NO... because its common sense! If you do its probably the people racing around a horse track in their car because there was no sign telling them to keep out.

I wouldnt be so touchy on this whole subject but EVERY year that we host our races we get the handful of douche bags that have to do ignorant stuff, tear up other peoples belongings, property, etc.... and we take the butt of it by the city, race track, locals, etc... and it pisses me off!

I dont see how it can be so friggin hard to THINK before doing something.

Your comparing apples and oranges... we are talking about going around a dirt track and your talking about killing yourself...

I believe if you were there you would have seen that the evo did no harm what so ever.

Secondly was it foolish of him, yes it was because it encouraged others to do it.

lastly, My main point is that being drunk and doing it and endangering lives is alot worse than someone going around it not even 1 full time. Hence I was there and i am friends with a ton of pure auto enthusiasts. It was simplly put, that the guy that got on the track in the s3, shouldnt have even had the keys in his hands to do such a thing.

Will the evo driver learn from his mistake, I am sure he will... Will the s3 driver... Well yeah im sure he will have some thoughts of it when he was in jail !

We have some of the same issues with our locals. We have a hangout spot here In Maryland, and dumbasses go by and do burnouts which causes the cops to come, and boot us out. So I know what you are talking about.

But simply put it is common sense to not even get on the track, which I agree. The problem is the evo techincally didnt tear anything up.

The problems is most of these young kids are to stupid to THINK before they do something. Of course when I was 17,18,19 years and years ago I did stupid things I will be the first one to admit. But never did I do **** such as drinking and driving and never will !

Chess.... why are you defending the guy in the Evo? Was it you? Was it your buddy? LOOK AT THE SITUATION!

It doesnt matter if anything was torn up or not. Its the whole point of what was done! Acting like a fool and doing something you're pretty damn certain you shouldnt be doing is the point.

Whats the next thing he's going to do because there wasnt a sign?
