okay so lately i noticed i have a lot of people trying to race me... is this a maryland thing or just an evo thing? and its not just people asking to race, its just straight trash talking and soon enough, feelings get hurt and people get personal and nest thing you know, theres a bunch of drama and people wanna fight...

its just really annoying to be getting messages through myspace everyday from kids around here just talking crap about how their 1987 honda will walk my evo....

anyone else have this problem here in maryland?

 

All the time. Mostly jealousy. They think because we have a 4 cylinder and a big wing, that we are in the same class as there riced out civic. Just ignore it. (Not bashing civic owners)

 

i didnt mean for it to sound like just hondas....

its pretty much SRT-4's, turboed scions and the big bad STi....
i think its just because the kids that drive the cars are all very immature and just run their mouths cause they dont know any better. its funny because they all have friends with faster cars that will race you

 

Yea, It's not always the honda crowd. SRT 4's, the trick to beating them, is to roll down your back mirrors.

 

people are just JEALOUS that you have an evo..jus smile and laugh at them

 

I get revved on an average of once every 7 months or so. Whenever I see a car worth "playing" with I'm usually in my van. Murphy's Law of fast cars I guess.

My favorite rev so far was an M3 on 83 in rush hour traffic during a downpour. Pure genius.

 

just be happy you dont live anywhere too hick.. all i hear every day is how any car in the school parking lot can beat mine, "your evo only has 4 cylinders"..."my camaro has a v8", blah blah blah..yet one of them has been willing to line em up... hicks and their v8's (not dissin muscle cars)

Yeah that **** is common around here. Just today me and Volki were sitting at a stop light. I was in my Avalanche and he was behind me with his evo. A decked out 350z and a Cherokee w/ exhaust behind him revved at him while passing by to make a protected left hand turn. I was all for cornering them at the mall they pulled into but he's got a kid now and tends to act mature

 

I do my best to promote a peaceful co-existance between Evo & STi. Can't reach 'em all though


btw-I too get revved on ALL the time (old school NON-turbo Impreza 2.5RS) by just about anything with wheels.

 

tell them you only rally your car. haha

 

I just got my car back from being built, and an STi and civic both revved at me while driving home, lol.

 

If you think its bad for you, try having a yellow evo where everyone and their mother can see me. Just look over at them shake your head and continue driving.

Or my favorite, call 911 and say you are driving in the same direction as an aggressive driver who is trying to race me, cutting people off and almost causing accidents, and an officer needs to respond and pull this guy over because he is going to kill someone and you will continue to go in the same direction as the suspect vehicle until you have an officer respond...

I keep getting ricer civics, whole bunch of TC's and SUVs. And for me being a girl in an evo doesnt help.

 

i still dont know y non turbo civics and eclipses with intake and exhaust rev on me all the time
