Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone has this or the one before it.. the N3. I have read that this will only play DVD while stopped and the e-brake up. A lot of people been saying that there is a way to by-pass it by grounding it, but then again I read that its not as simple as that. Also, I heard that some have been able to get the DVD player to work while in motion but after they reach a certain speed limit, it shuts off. Does anyone have one of these and is able to get the navigation/dvd player work while the car is in motion. Thanks.

it is illegal to watch video while driving but there are bypass out there. from my understanding the newer models can not be bypassed. I would check avic411.com their is a community dedicated to avic series mobile entertainment.

I know its illegal to watch dvd when moving/driving. I wanted it so that my passenger could watch while on a road trip... Kind of pointless to have a dvd/navi combo if you can't use it while on the road.. yes yes.. I know.. law/safety.. like I said, for the passengers... Thanks.Originally Posted by Top_End_EVO

I just put an Avic-D3 in the Skyline.
It's cake to bypass. One wire swap on the harness, ground it, done. That above mentioned Avic site has pictures to walk you through it. It works quite well.
Watched a Best Motoring video of driving a Skyline while driving a Skyline. Doesn't get an better.

But I heard grounding doesn't work for the N4... it does for the N3 but I heard the N4 is more tricky...Originally Posted by subydudesti
